What is the Farm Bill?
The 2018 Farm bill, officially known as the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018. This act reauthorized and updated various agricultural and food programs and one of the most significant changes was the legalization of hemp. As long as it contains no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight, hemp is legal. This act also removed hemp from the Controlled Substances Act which allows hemp to be cultivated, researched, and sold under federal law.
